JDX Audio

Questions

Do I need an ASIO® driver? No. WASAPI works with any Windows output: Shared plays beside other apps, Exclusive gives lower latency. An interface's ASIO driver gives the lowest.

Which plugins does it run? VST3 instruments and effects, scanned from Common Files\VST3 at start-up. A plugin that crashes is silenced and JDX Audio keeps running. VST2 is not supported.

What if a plugin is missing when I open a song? The song opens with a silent stand-in that keeps the plugin's settings, so nothing is lost.

Will my projects open in later versions? Every version so far opens projects made in earlier ones. When a device gains new controls, projects saved before keep sounding the way they did.

Where are projects saved? Each project is a folder in Documents\JDS: project.jds plus an Audio folder. JDX Audio autosaves every 2 minutes while there are unsaved changes.

Can I try it first? Yes. Every download starts a 14-day trial with every feature. A licence bought later applies in place.

How many computers does a licence cover? 2. Each activation is signed for that computer's machine ID. Moving to a new computer? Deactivate an old one on your account page, then activate the new one.

Does JDX Audio go online? Only to check the licence now and then: it sends the machine ID and version, nothing else. If it cannot reach us, it carries on.

Mac or Linux? No. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.

Why does Windows warn about the installer? It is not code-signed yet. Select More info, then Run anyway.

Are pianos included? Not sampled ones; JDX Audio stays a small download. Load a piano VST3, or a piano sample in the Sampler.

Does Mix & Master tune my vocal? Never. It builds each track's mix chain and masters the song; tuning is always yours, with Tune or the pitch editor. One Ctrl+Z undoes it all.

Can I use my own shortcuts? Yes. Shortcuts can be rebound, with presets for the habits of other recording programs.

What if it is not for me? Ask within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. See the refund policy.
